About Sapphires & Rubies
10 For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces, My love won't walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won't fall apart." The God who has compassion on you says so.
11 "Afflicted city, storm-battered, unpitied: I'm about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise, Lay your foundations with sapphires,
12 construct your towers with rubies, Your gates with jewels, and all your walls with precious stones.
Isaiah 54:10-12
My name is Denise Napier. I feel honored to be able to call myself a daughter of the most high God, Jesus, who is my wonderful Savior. I am also a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. I love my God and I love people. I was born and raised in the city of Detroit and I am a innercity girl at heart.
I became a born-again believer at the age of 25. I have known my share of pain, heartbreak and personal failings. Through life’s ups and downs, I have come to know the mercy and grace of God more and more. In this journey called life, my heart is to share His love with the hurting and the broken.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says, “For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”.
Formerly, Sapphires and Rubies Chapel was known as Beth Isaac Synagogue. From the moment I saw the building, I was completely drawn to it, and had a fondness towards it. I now know it was the Father’s heart. A couple years prior to buying the building, I made an offer to purchase it, and began to make plans, but that offer wasn’t accepted. Fast forward to the Fall of 2019, an opportunity to purchase the building was presented to me, but it was the last thing on my mind because I was in the middle of one of the most difficult times of my life.
But God…“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah 55:8-9
I purchased the building in 2019, and the way it came about was undoubtedly God. I am beyond grateful. There have already been so many God moments that have taken place here, and many more to come. Praise to you, Jesus. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done!
